Clinical Herbal Immersion

A 5-day residential programme for practitioners and students of herbal medicine

This immersion supports you as a herbal practitioner. We focus on clinical skills, but also on being a herbalist and all that this means: your connection to the plants, your connection to yourself, and your capacity to hold space for others. Daisy provides in depth insights into the clinical therapeutics she has found key, running her full time clinic for over 22 years.

Over the 5 days at Ceratonia, the programme rests on 2 foundations:

Tune in to yourself and the plants

Through time spent with the plants, tea tastings, stillness, space, and self-care practices, you'll deepen your own sense of connection, trust, and awareness, which provides the foundation everything else is built on.

Build your clinical skills

Daisy shares her clinical approach and therapeutics through classes, guided time in the gardens and dispensary, hands-on practicals, case history work, and open Q&A, which is grounded in her many years of clinical experience.

Woven through both is a strong community element consisting of group work, case history sharing, and feeling the support of fellow practitioners and students. Astrology, a rich topic in its own right, is touched upon as an additional lens through which to view both your patient's and your own constitution and journey.

Meet the Teacher

Daisy Mae, Medical Herbalist

Daisy's life has always been guided by a deep connection to the natural world, a relationship that began in childhood and has deepened over decades of study and practice.

She qualified as a BSc medical herbalist in 2004 and has been working as a full-time clinician and facilitator of learning ever since, with over 22 years of practice spanning her own herbal clinic in Glasgow and now in Portugal, alongside teaching at various levels. She has studied with many herbalists and healers over the years and continues to seek out learning in her field.

Daisy treats the person rather than the symptoms, taking a physical, emotional, and spiritual approach shaped by the elements and the senses. Underlying it all is a commitment to sovereignty, helping people reconnect with their capacity to care for their own health.

This same approach shapes how Daisy teaches. Her classes weave together a wealth of knowledge about herbal medicine with first-hand clinical experience and her belief that connecting with the living plant is an essential part of learning and healing.

  • Daisy’s approach to practicing and sharing herbalism is incredibly refreshing and reminded me why I first felt called to the herbal path. Her deep intuition and connection with plants are at the heart of everything she teaches — a kind of wisdom that simply can’t be learned from a book. Being immersed in her teachings, alongside the magic of the gardens at Ceratonia, felt like the deepest and most meaningful kind of herbal learning. Being able to stay on site for the whole week, with delicious home-cooked food lovingly provided by her partner Corey, allowed us to fully surrender to the learning process – such a tonic compared to trying to learn within the pace of everyday life. I left feeling deeply nourished, inspired, and very grateful for the experience."

  • “Ceratonia Gardens is a special place to visit & an incredible place to learn about plant medicine. Daisy warm & energetic energy is a joy to be around. Her knowledge that she delivers so easily to her students is invaluable, she has a wealth of herbal knowledge not just of the mind but also of spirit. Also Corey's cooking is out of this world - It was a week where I was truly nourished on every level - I will be back :).”

    — Barbara

  • “A week long immersion with Daisy helps a herbalist along their journey to becoming a better herbalist and more understanding person. Daisy’s unwavering love and caring is felt the minute you cross her threshold. I feel so lucky that I was able to get a space on her course.”

    — Angela

  • “My week in Ceratonia Gardens was transformative, mind-opening, heart-expanding, spiritually-awakening, inspiring, nourishing, generous in every way. I really recommend time learning with Daisy Mae and the plants. I will definitely return for more!”
